Meet Ladie — A Sweet, Gentle Soul Looking for a Calm Home

Ladie is a 3–4-year-old parvo survivor who came to rescue after shutting down in a shelter environment. With time, patience, and a stable home, she has blossomed into a quiet, loving companion who appreciates routine, comfort, and a peaceful environment. She's a soft-hearted, cautious girl who takes her time warming up to new people, but once she feels safe, she's incredibly easy to love. She enjoys lounging on the couch, relaxing outside on nice days, and settling into bed when her person leaves the house. She's well-behaved, not destructive, and does wonderfully uncrated. Food is a huge motivator for her—she'll politely wait for permission to eat, happily tries healthy snacks like apples or lettuce, and loves her nightly peanut butter lick pad. She also has a playful side and enjoys tossing her toys around or de-stuffing them for fun. Ladie is comfortable being touched by her primary person and has no possessiveness toward her person. She is nervous with strangers, especially unfamiliar handling. She has medium energy, though she's content with a relaxed lifestyle and doesn't get into things when left alone. Her experience with other animals is limited.

Ideal Home

Ladie thrives in a quiet, patient home with minimal chaos and gentle introductions to new people. She would do best with someone who understands that trust takes time—and who's happy to go at her pace. She may do well with a calm, low-energy dog who is respectful and gives her space.
