Hexum is a spirited almost seven-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier from Atlanta, GA. He has a bold brown brindle coat with a charming white chest patch and a zest for life that's as vibrant as he is! Weighing in at 74 pounds, Hexum is a delightful mix of high energy, affection, and a quirky personality that promises endless entertainment.
Hexum's favorite activities include energetic romps in the park, engaging tug-of-war sessions, and relaxing with a good chew bone. He's also a bright boy with formal obedience training, readily responding to commands like "sit," "wait," "leave it," "night night," and "go to your house." His lively spirit and playful nature make him a joy to interact with, especially for someone who can embrace his active lifestyle.
Ideal Home
Hexum is looking for a calm and structured home where he can be the sole focus of attention. He would do best in a home without other pets and where children will not disrupt his established routine.

Hexum is currently managing some resource-guarding behaviors. He also experiences separation anxiety, which is being managed with medication.
Training & Support
Hexum has demonstrated resource-guarding behaviors, including one incident where he nipped during collar handling. This highlights his need for a confident, experienced caregiver committed to positive reinforcement training and understanding his boundaries. Consistency, love, and patience will be key to helping him continue to grow. He is not a fan of car rides.
