Smiley Wiley The Hugging Smile Machine

Smiley Wiley is a handsome, fluffy German Shepherd mix who is approximately 1 year old and weighs 65 lbs. He's an athletic, loyal, and adventurous companion who loves to hug! Wiley is great with other dogs and enjoys playful wrestling and chase. He's smart, knows several commands, and is very treat-motivated. While he enjoys active play, he also has a calm side and is content to relax with his favorite toy. Wiley has done well with children and would be a fantastic adventure buddy.

Ideal Home

Wiley would thrive in a home with a large backyard and a semi-active family who enjoys hiking or running and also appreciates quiet downtime. He would do best with another confident, playful female dog to help guide him and build his confidence. He is not a fan of cats. He would do best with older children (15+) who understand his need for space.

Ongoing Health

Wiley is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Wiley responds well to confident leadership and structure. He already knows commands like sit, down, and wait, and is eager to please. With continued training and guidance, he can learn anything.

• The adoption fee is $1200, which includes all vetting, transport, and a microchip.
• Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transportation.
