You know how some dogs you can just look at and know they are happy, friendly, and good company? That was exactly how I felt the moment I saw Hanky. It was across the yard and I just knew he was going to be a good-time boy, and I was not wrong. If pure joy were a dog, it would be Hanky Baby. He is estimated to be just under 1 year old, so he has his happy personality paired with the wiggles and sweetness of the puppy days. Simply, he is the definition of happy-go-lucky, friendly, affectionate, social, and always ready to make a new best friend.
Ideal Home
Hanky is sunshine in puppy form – sweet, loving, eager, and ready to grow into the very best version of himself. He would thrive with a family that enjoys walks, hikes, outings, and positive training. Older kids would be a better match at this stage simply because he is still mastering the art of containing his enthusiasm and those jumpy greetings, but this will train away, so if your kids know how to say "NO!" then he will be a perfect fit. He did wonderfully with the cat during his assessment and is at the ideal age to learn good manners around feline friends. With guidance and consistency, he can absolutely become a cat-compatible household member. He is perfectly social with other dogs and adapts his playstyle beautifully to playmates of different personalities. He's respectful with calmer dogs, happy to romp with playful ones, and shows excellent puppy communication – even backing off politely in moments when the big dogs get to be overwhelming. With a gentle, medium-energy dog at home, he'd have the perfect buddy to grow up with.

Training & Support
Hanky has a great base of house and crate manners. Like all puppies, Hanky has things to learn, but they are just the basics. One area he will need continued guidance is on-leash walking, but he is responsive, sensitive in all the right ways, and thrives when someone shows him what's expected. His sweet nature is perfectly paired with a boy who will work for a treat, and that treat motivation and eagerness to please makes him a dream to teach. He already knows "sit"!
