Meet Benson!

Benson is a handsome 1 1/2-year-old Basset Hound mix, weighing about 40 pounds. He has a heart full of love and a playful spirit, always ready to make a new friend. Despite his potentially intimidating cropped ears, Benson is a total softie at heart, and his sweet, affectionate personality shines through immediately. He has fabulous stubby legs that give him a unique charm!

Benson is a quiet boy who rarely barks, except when he's having a great time playing with his canine pals. He's very dog-friendly and enjoys romping with other dogs. He also loves being outdoors, exploring, playing games, or simply soaking up the sunshine. Benson is a smart pup who already knows several commands and tricks, including sit, down, shake, and roll over.

Benson would thrive with an active family or individual who is looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who loves people and enjoys other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Benson is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He is neutered or spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Like many young dogs, Benson is still working on his house training but is eager to learn and responds well to positive guidance. With patience and consistency, he's making great progress. He would benefit from adoption by a dog-loving person who understands he will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.
