Meet Shaddock and Cedar, a bonded brother and sister duo who are approximately 6 1/2 years old. Affectionately known as "the peepers" by our volunteers, these two are always found together, closely monitoring all activities in the dog dorm, from cleaning to feeding. Their curiosity and intelligence are matched only by their adorable charm! Shaddock is the striking white and red male, and Cedar is his reddish-brown sister.
Thanks to the patient efforts of their foster mom, Shaddock and Cedar have blossomed in confidence. They are seeking a forever home that will continue to offer them patience and understanding. While they may not be the most overtly cuddly companions, for the right person, they have the potential to be the most attentive and loyal roommates, always lending an ear to your thoughts.
After a slow, gentle introduction and some time to decompress, these sweethearts truly enjoy being around their people and are fascinated by your daily routines. They sleep soundly together in a crate at night and have learned outdoor potty manners in their foster home. For optimal housetraining success, a home with a doggy door or easy access to a securely-fenced outdoor area would be ideal.
If you're an avid walker looking for a doggy park adventure buddy, Shaddock and Cedar may not be the best fit, as they are not leash-trained. However, they are wonderfully social with other dogs and appear unfazed by cats. We can conduct a more in-depth cat test if requested. If you envision a peaceful, cozy home where you'd welcome some devoted company, we encourage you to begin your application process by contacting us through Wags.
