Harlen is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and is likely a pittie mix, weighing in at 69 pounds of pure wiggle. She is happiest when surrounded by friends, whether they have two legs or four. Harlen's favorite thing is to wiggle with excitement the moment she sees someone approaching.
Ideal Home
Harlen would be happy in either a house with a yard or an apartment with enough exercise. A family that enjoys playtime, walks, and laughing at her goofy antics will be a perfect match.

Harlen is a healthy pup. All vetting, including vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip, is up to date.
Training & Support
Harlen is young, so training and ongoing practice of her skills are to be expected. She has great basic leash skills and walks well on leash overall, but she just needs a little polishing. She's eager, responsive, and loves checking in with her people. She has no resource guarding concerns with dogs or humans, though she is absolutely the type to steal unattended snacks – not out of mischief, just out of oops, I thought that was for me! A little guidance and remembering not to leave anything too delicious looking just sitting around will prevent this from being an issue. Harlen is cat-tolerant and showed great emotional control during introductions with a resident cat, though a slow introduction at home is still recommended.

Transporation
Harlen is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (with pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
