Davidson

Meet Davidson, a sweet and gentle 3-year-old Labrador mix who weighs 53 pounds. Lovingly called Davie, he's learning that the world can be a safe place. Davie came to us underweight and with the emotional scars of past abuse, so he's looking for a patient and understanding adopter to help him build confidence. He is timid and easily startled, often shutting down when scared, but he has shown no aggression, only fear. Davie responds best to calm guidance and positive reinforcement. He can be nervous around men but is making progress with his foster dad, allowing pets and learning to go outside on leash. He's even started wagging his tail and doing little happy gallops when feeling brave! Davie shows friendly interest in puppies, sniffing noses through their pen and wagging his tail. He is crate trained and has had no accidents.

Ideal Home

A secure environment with an adopter who is diligent with leashing, gates, and other safety precautions.

Ongoing Health

Davie is currently underweight but is being cared for.

Training & Support

Davie is responsive to positive reinforcement and calm guidance. He is crate trained and house-trained.
