Daphne is an adorable, approximately 6-month-old, small to medium-sized mix with a precious white spot on her chest and a smile that's almost always on her face. This happy-go-lucky girl approaches every day with enthusiasm! Whether she's bouncing through the yard, playing with her foster dog friends, carrying around her favorite toy, bone, or stick, or snuggling up for a nap, Daphne brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. One of Daphne's funniest qualities is the way she runs—sometimes her wiggly little butt and back legs seem to move faster than the rest of her body! Watching her zoom around with her eyes wide, mouth open, and tongue flopping in the breeze is guaranteed to make you smile. She's always up for an adventure and loves turning every game into a chase. Forget fetch—Daphne's favorite game is "steal the toy and see who follows me!" Daphne is a very food-motivated girl who always seems to know when treats are nearby. She has learned to sit politely when she focuses only on the treat and is improving every day, but may get a little jumpy with excitement. She is eager to continue learning with positive reinforcement. While she loves being around her people and forms strong bonds with her family, she's also wonderfully independent and does a great job entertaining herself when everyone is busy. She does bark when she's excited or when visitors arrive, but settles down quickly after a few seconds. Her foster family does use a bark collar to help reinforce quieter behavior. At the end of the day, Daphne transforms into a cuddle bug. She sleeps through the night in her kennel, settling in after just a few minutes, and loves curling up beside her people on the couch. She forms strong bonds with her family and enjoys being close while still having the confidence to explore and play on her own. If you're looking for a puppy with a goofy personality, an adventurous spirit, plenty of laughs, and endless love to give, Daphne is ready to become your new best friend.
