Laverne

Laverne is a beautiful chocolate brown girl with sparkling golden-brown eyes and the legs of a supermodel! She and her sister Shirley were rescued from a difficult situation in southern Minnesota and have since been enjoying all the comforts of their foster home. Laverne loves to run and play with the resident dogs, especially Stanley the Weimaraner/Pitbull mix who is happy to play with puppies. Laverne is a bit more submissive with her sister Shirley and their foster siblings. She enjoys playing tug-of-war, racing for toys, and chasing tennis balls. Laverne also loves to cuddle up with any dog or human who will let her, especially around their neck!

Ideal Home

Laverne would love a home that has another dog to play with, but it's not a dealbreaker. Her dream day consists of spending time with her humans or a dog sibling, eating, lounging, and playing together. She needs someone who is active and enjoys playtime, but also makes time for cuddles and snoozes.

Ongoing Health

Laverne is a work in progress with potty training but is very motivated to learn. She has also gotten used to sleeping in her kennel at night without making a peep.

Training & Support

Laverne is working on "sit" and "stay," but can get a bit too excited sometimes. Her biggest motivators are food and affection from her humans.
