Meet Bowie!
Bowie is a sweet, loving shepherd mix who is 5 years old and weighs 46 pounds. She's ready to find her forever home and is a very friendly girl who adores being around her humans. Bowie's story is one of resilience; she was found abandoned on the side of a country road but immediately sought comfort from a kind hunter. Her affectionate nature and soulful eyes touched his heart, leading to her rescue by our organization. She's petite, making her a great size for many homes. Bowie loves treats and toys, and she already knows how to sit on command. She is also leash and house trained, enjoys relaxing in the backyard, and is happy to cuddle up for a movie night.
Ideal Home
Bowie would do best as the only dog in the home, as she enjoys having all the attention and can be selective with other dogs. She would also prefer a home without cats and has not been tested with small children. A secure yard would be a plus, as she enjoys chasing squirrels.
Ongoing Health
Bowie is spayed and has recently completed heartworm treatment. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventative care.
Training & Support
Bowie is already leash and house trained and knows how to sit on command. She is a chill companion who loves to cuddle.

- Vet checks are required, and all resident pets must be spayed or neutered, up-to-date on core vaccines, and on heartworm prevention.
- Applicants must be 21 years or older with identification showing their present address.
- All adults in the household must provide consent.
- If renting, proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets is required.
- You must be willing and able to spend the time and money necessary for training, medical treatment, and responsible pet care.
- A secure fence is required if you live in a house.
- All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.
Transporation
Bowie is located in Dallas, Texas, and we only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. A home visit is required for all adoptions.
