Meet Lexi!
This beautiful little Anatolian Shepherd mix is capturing hearts in her foster's neighborhood, both human and furkid alike :) Lexi appears to possess many Anatolian characteristics; she is smart, loyal, loving, playful, and sweet. Most of all, she would love to have her adoptive home keep her mind active by providing her with some type of job that includes both physical and mental stimulation. As much as she loves rough and tumbling with other dogs, she will need a confident handler who can guide her as she grows. At six months old, Lexi currently weighs 52 lbs and will likely be on the larger side. Lexi can relax with the best of them, and her foster mom reports that she loves to watch doggie TV while chilling, plays fetch all day long, knows a few commands like sit, down, stay, gentle, and "go get it." She loves to gather sticks for snacking, and if you need help digging holes, she's your girl! Anatolian shepherds are very loyal, bred to protect livestock in their native Turkey. While we don't assume Lexi will be used for that purpose, a potential adopter must understand the characteristics and be fully willing to provide strong leadership and training so that Lexi continues to flourish. This sweet girl is ready for her forever home, don't wait!
