Prima Donna is a one-year-old, 58 lb brindle beauty with a squishy smoosh face, wrinkles for days, and a personality that lights up any room! She's silly, full of joy, and devoted to her people, showering them with affection and making them smile with her goofy antics. Prima is a rescue, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, we know she's pure joy on legs. She absolutely loves people and wants to be near her humans as much as possible, enjoying couch naps, cuddles, and of course, booty scratches! She's also a big fan of toys, whether it's fetch, tug-of-war, or just zooming around the yard.
Ideal Home
Prima would do best in a home with older children, around 15+, who are comfortable with bigger bully-type dogs and can confidently set boundaries. She has a tendency to be an enthusiastic wrecking ball of affection and can be mouthy during play. She would also do best in a cat-free home.
Ongoing Health
Prima is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. She has also had a heartworm test.
Training & Support
Prima is a smart girl who responds well to correction. While she sometimes gets overly excited and forgets her impulse control, she listens when told "no." She can be mouthy when excited, as she sees everything as a game, but she's learning that this isn't the preferred method of showing affection. She already knows how to sit and enjoys treats, and may know "down." She walks nicely on a gentle leader, which helps her stay grounded, and is improving on her leash manners with practice and focus. She thrives with structure, routine, and positive guidance.
