Tebow is a handsome shepherd mix, around 7 months old, who arrived in rescue with his brother, Brady, after Hurricane Idalia. They were found wandering and, despite efforts to locate their owner, no one came forward. After a month in foster care, Tebow and Brady are now ready to find their forever families. Tebow is the more outgoing and confident of the two brothers, often taking the lead and being the first to explore new experiences. He would thrive with opportunities to socialize and encounter new things. Given his age and sweet, friendly nature, Tebow should adapt well to most family situations and appears to be good with children and other dogs, though proper introductions are always recommended. His compatibility with cats and other small animals is unknown.
Ideal Home
Tebow would do well in a home that can provide him with opportunities to socialize and experience new things.
Ongoing Health
Tebow was treated for a skin infection with cefpodoxime proxetil. He tested negative for heartworms and erlichia, and is now on monthly Simparica Trio for prevention. He had intestinal parasites, including hookworms, whipworms, roundworms, and coccidia, for which he was treated with Drontal and toltrazuril. As of 10/18/23, he weighed 51.7 pounds.
Training & Support
Tebow is expected to need some house training and will benefit from learning good manners. He walks very well on a leash and can use either a collar or a harness for comfort.
