Blue

If you're looking for a giant cuddle buddy, Blue is your guy! This lovable 6-year-old, 80lb, "house hippo" is convinced he's a lap dog and has never met a couch he didn't want to share with his favorite people. Affection is his love language, and he'll happily remind you when it's time for more pets and snuggles. Blue enjoys going for walks, playing tug, and relaxing with his family. One of his favorite things is being groomed by his Chihuahua brothers, Webbie and Boosie. The three were surrendered together but are not bonded and can be adopted separately. That said, it would be wonderful if Blue and Boosie could stay together, as Boosie loves spending his evenings giving Blue a good grooming session.

Ideal Home

Blue would do best in a home with older children who can comfortably handle his size and enthusiasm. Because of his size, strength, and typical bully breed stubborn streak, Blue is looking for an experienced large-breed—preferably bully breed—owner.

Ongoing Health

Blue is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He can be nervous during veterinary visits and grooming.

Training & Support

Blue is house-trained and crate-trained, and he gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. He can be strong on leash and will benefit from someone committed to continuing his training. He needs a patient adopter who understands he can be nervous during veterinary visits and grooming and is willing to help him feel comfortable in those situations. He has not been cat-tested, but based on his personality, he may do well with respectful cats.
