Amy is a sweet Boxer & Lab mix, born around December 20, 2021. She was found by police in a home that was abandoned and in terrible condition. We were asked to help, and of course, we said yes! Amy was pregnant when she came to us and gave birth to two beautiful puppies, Ginger and Ivy. Sadly, Amy was also diagnosed with Babesia, a parasite that attacks red blood cells, and was heartworm positive. She has successfully completed treatment for both conditions.
Amy is a truly amazing girl with so much love to give. She adores cuddling, spending time with her people, and playing outdoors. If you ask her, "Is that your toy?" or "Where's your toy?", she'll happily grab the nearest toy and start playing! Amy thrives on being near her humans and showering them with kisses. She absolutely loves belly rubs and just wants to feel safe and cherished in her forever home. She may do well with other dogs after a slow introduction, but her compatibility with cats is unknown. Children 7 years old and older would be a good fit. A completely enclosed, physically fenced yard is a must for Amy to safely enjoy her playtime. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative, and crate-trained. This loving and adorable girl deserves a family to cherish her for the rest of her life!
