Meet Twister Twinkle, a delightful 9-month-old, 35-pound Hound / Lab mix. She and her littermates were rescued from a neglect case in Tennessee, but Twister Twinkle brings a whole lot of fun and playfulness to every day, just like her namesake! She absolutely adores being around people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. Twister Twinkle is already house-trained and knows how to use a doggy door. She's also comfortable with leash walking and has some experience with crate training. She does have a tendency to climb, so it's best not to leave her unsupervised outdoors. This adventurous spirit climbs to be closer to her people, not to escape, and she might even outgrow this behavior once she's settled in her forever home. We recommend crating her when she's left alone. If you lead an active lifestyle, Twister Twinkle will be thrilled to join you!
Ideal Home
Twister Twinkle loves kids and would likely enjoy having feline friends, though her experience with cats is unknown. An active home that can provide plenty of opportunities for adventure and play would be ideal. Due to her climbing tendencies, a secure environment where she cannot be left unsupervised outdoors is recommended.
Ongoing Health
All dogs adopted through Wags are up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.
Training & Support
Twister Twinkle is a quick learner and knows her name! She has a burst of energy when she first gets going, but she settles down nicely after a long day. She would benefit from continued puppy training and guidance with commands. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping her become the best family member she can be.
