Junior Bear the Tongue Out Sweetheart

Junior Bear looks like a delightful and unique blend of a wise old grandpa, a fluffy baby polar bear, and Sid from Ice Age! He was found in rough shape but has blossomed into a handsome boy with a beautiful coat that's still coming in. His expressive face and the adorable little tongue that often sticks out will surely capture your heart. Junior is a gentle soul who's a bit of a slow burn, needing time and patience to feel safe and open up. Baby talk and soft words work wonders, and once he trusts you, he reveals a sweet, cuddly side that is incredibly rewarding to earn.

Ideal Home

Junior would do best in a home with lower to medium energy, respectful dogs that will give him space to acclimate. He has also done well with small dogs and was respectful of a resident cat. He would likely be comfortable in a quieter apartment, townhome, duplex, or condo but would benefit from access to a small yard to build confidence.

Junior Bear is a rescue dog and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Training & Support

Junior needs someone patient and understanding who will go slow while building trust. He can become uncomfortable with too much touch too quickly, but approaches with calm energy and respect allow him to build trust beautifully. He is crate trained and quiet in the home. He walks well on leash when allowed to lead at his own pace, but too much leash pressure can cause him to freeze.

Junior is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
