About Trooper

Trooper is a handsome 2 1/2-year-old, 60-pound boy who longs to be your shadow. He's a quiet companion, happy to just be near you, whether you're napping or just relaxing. Trooper is a remarkably smart and well-behaved dog; he's fully housebroken, kennel trained, doesn't shed, and already knows commands like "stay," "come," "lay down," and "quiet." He walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and his greatest joy is spending time with his favorite person. Trooper has a gentle and tender heart, responding best to kindness, encouragement, and consistency. He's not a noisy or demanding dog; he simply wants to feel safe and be with his family. Trooper enjoys cozy naps, watching the world from the patio, peaceful car rides, gentle playtime, and simply being wherever you are. Like many deeply loyal dogs, Trooper experiences some separation anxiety and will thrive in a home where he won't be left alone for extended periods. In return for your companionship, you'll gain a devoted best friend whose love is boundless. He has done well with other dogs, ignores barking dogs on walks, and his protective instincts are easily redirected because he listens exceptionally well. Trooper is looking for a family who will see his timid eyes and recognize the incredibly loyal, loving dog waiting to give his whole heart. If you're searching for a faithful companion who will love you with everything he has, Trooper is waiting to meet you. He is neutered, vaccinated, house-broken, and ready to go to his forever home.

Ideal Home

Trooper will thrive with someone who wants a true companion and is home more often than not, as he experiences some separation anxiety.

Training & Support

Trooper is house-trained and kennel-trained, walks well on a leash, and knows several commands. He may need a little extra reassurance with separation anxiety.
