Lucy

Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to find her forever home! She was previously living on a chain, but thanks to the Kind Spirits Rescue Dogs Pet Lifeline program, she was able to be spayed and is now thriving in a foster home in Texas with 8 other dogs. Lucy is a cute, smaller-sized Blue Heeler who is loyal, observant, smart, and a little bossy with some dogs, but is generally mellow and easy-going. She is playful with most dogs, though she might nibble heels if she doesn't like another dog's behavior, which is classic Heeler! She's the reigning champion of fetch and has so far ignored cats. She can be a bit peculiar around small dogs, but she walks nicely in public and rides great in the car. Lucy is also potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be by your side), and leash trained. She loves affection but isn't needy.

Ideal Home

Lucy would do best with someone familiar with herding breeds. She can be timid with new people and needs a little time to warm up.

Ongoing Health

Lucy has been spayed, is microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.

Training & Support

Lucy is potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She exhibits typical Heeler behaviors like supervising and following her people, and has a classic "side-eye" for when she's judging your life choices.

Transportation

Lucy is currently in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome! Private transport with K9 Delivery LLC can be arranged for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
