HOSPICE Holly

Holly is a very special dog with a heart condition and requires a loving hospice home or a dedicated adopter. She came to us around Christmas time and, after her skin and ears healed, we discovered she suffers from dilated cardiomyopathy and an irregular heartbeat. This puts her at high risk for a sudden cardiac event, making it too dangerous for her to be spayed under anesthesia. Holly is now on daily heart medication to ensure she has the best quality of life and as much time as possible. Despite her condition, she remains happy, eats well, and still enjoys zooming around the yard! Holly is a social butterfly who loves people, other dogs, and is even good with cats! We are seeking a compassionate individual or family to provide Holly with comfort and love for the remainder of her days. If you are local, we will continue to cover her veterinary care costs with her current vet; all you need to provide is immense love and a cozy environment for this deserving dog. Holly's adoption fee is waived due to the ongoing commitment to her medical care.

• We are a 501c3 charitable rescue.
• We schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, Va.
• Our standard adoption fee for adult dogs is $175.00 (waived for Holly). This fee helps us care for all the dogs we rescue.
• All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo, and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites.
• Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
