Sunshine in dog form, with the perfect balance of social butterfly energy and goofy charm – that's Wes! This handsome, fun-loving guy is estimated to be just over a year old and weighs around 51 lbs. While his breed is a best guess, he appears to be a lab/pittie mix with a happy-go-lucky, people-loving personality that shines through in everything he does. Wes truly wakes up ready to enjoy life and wants to bring you along for the fun! He has a warm, welcoming energy that makes him instantly lovable. Wes doesn't hesitate with new people; he leans in, adores affection, and happily rolls over for a belly rub. He also makes fast friends with other dogs, enjoying playful interactions and mingling in group settings. Wes has a wonderful off switch, happy to settle down after playtime. He loves his food and takes treats gently, showing great manners. Wes would do well in a home with a yard or an apartment, as long as his person enjoys getting out and about with him. He'd make a fantastic go-everywhere, do-everything dog for hikes, patio hangs, and neighborhood strolls. Wes met our house cat with enthusiastic kisses and play bows, so he'll do best with a dog-savvy cat who can set boundaries. He can get a little vocal, so apartment living isn't ideal, but a house with a yard would be the dream for him to enjoy outdoor play sessions. Wes is ready to brighten your life with extra joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love!
Ideal Home
A home with a yard is ideal for Wes to enjoy outdoor play sessions. He would also thrive with another medium-energy dog to play with and keep him company, and can do well with a dog-savvy cat. He's not suited for apartment living due to his tendency to vocalize.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns were mentioned in the description.
Training & Support
Wes can be a bit of a puller on leash when he sees other dogs, which is due to excitement, not reactivity. He responds well to corrections and is very treat motivated, so he will polish up nicely with consistency and snacks.
