Lily

Meet Lily! She is a sweet and loving 5-year-old shepherd mix, weighing around 65 pounds. Lily was rescued from Mexico as a puppy and is a gentle soul who warms up quickly after an initial shy period. Her favorite pastime is gazing into your eyes while you give her gentle strokes. She also has a wonderfully goofy side – her whole body wiggles with excitement when she's happy, especially when food or attention is involved! Lily enjoys basking in the sun or lounging by an open door, taking in the fresh breeze and the sounds of nature. While she enjoys walks, she's also a bit of a homebody and can get tired on longer adventures. Loud noises like fireworks can startle her, and she'll seek comfort in a closet or pantry.

Ideal Home

Lily would love a home where she can relax and enjoy quiet time, perhaps with access to a yard for basking in the sun and fresh air. She should do well with older children.

Ongoing Health

Lily is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and generally healthy. She had surgery for a torn ACL a couple of years ago and has recovered well. She experienced some joint pain previously, which seemed to resolve after she lost some weight.

Training & Support

Lily is house-trained and knows some basic commands, making her very responsive to food motivation.
