Holt

Holt is a handsome 5-month-old Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix with a sweet face and a smart brain. He has the excellent temperament of a puppy who is ready to be your very best friend! Holt is friendly, social, and an all-around excellent young dog who enjoys people, other dogs, and is also fine with cats. He's doing a great job with all things puppy, but he is still a baby and will need the usual puppy basics: structure, training, patience, supervision, and a family willing to help him grow into the wonderful adult dog he is clearly capable of becoming.

Ideal Home

Because he is a young, active mix of two intelligent breeds, Holt needs a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, explore, and burn off his puppy energy safely. He will do best with a family that enjoys a bright, engaged dog and understands that smart puppies are always learning. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for flexible schedules for potty training, crate training until at least one year old, and extensive socialization. Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one.

Training & Support

Holt will need the usual puppy basics: structure, training, patience, supervision, and a family willing to help him grow. He is still learning, and adopters should understand that puppies require patience and appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training. All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training.
