About Bear

Bear is a 6-year-old shorty looking for his forever home! This boy is approximately 18 lbs and is the sweetest guy. Because of how short he is, we do believe he is some sort of Bassett mix! He loves other dogs and is currently being fostered in a sanctuary along the Texas/Mexico border. This sanctuary is only a temporary place to house animals while we find them their forever homes. So small or big dogs, he gets along wonderfully with! Bear has met kitties and gets along great with them also! The sanctuary has inside cats that all dogs get along with. Kids? No problem. Bear just asks they love him a lot as he has a lot of love to give. A fun quirk about Bear: He ALWAYS has to have a blanket. He has an attachment with his blankets, no matter how hot it is. He covers himself with it, then will uncover himself, go run and play, eat his food and go right back under his blanket. He is OBSESSED with a blanket and its absolutely adorable. He will drag it everywhere he can! Bear is house and crate trained. Bear used to have an owner, but he was surrendered as his owner was elderly and got sent to a nursing home and could no longer keep him. This boy is quirky, fun, playful, gentle and all-around loving. If you have blankets, that's even more of a plus! Please consider giving Bear his forever home.
