Lemon (Foster Needed!)

Lemon is a sweet Hound mix, with perhaps a touch of pit in her, who dreamed of a better life and now she's here! She, along with her family (Peach and Mango, who are likely her pups), were facing a grim future in a crowded rural shelter in SE Kentucky. This tiny shelter, with only nine kennels, often has to send longer-term residents to a larger facility where they are euthanized upon arrival.

Lemon and her family had already shown incredible resilience, surviving on their own in the countryside for over a year. They were spotted repeatedly along country roads, scrounging for food and just trying to get by, possibly abandoned by a previous owner. Malnourished and thin, they were eventually rescued by kind advocates who brought them to the small shelter.

When a plea went out for these deserving souls, we answered the call, wanting to support these brave girls who had fought so hard to survive such unfair circumstances. We are now eager to help Lemon find a loving foster or adoptive home where she can finally thrive.

Ideal Home

A patient and understanding approach will help Lemon blossom. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids.

Ongoing Health

All animals are fully vetted appropriate for their age, including spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (if 8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention.
