Meet Groundhog, the boy who is 10% tongue, 90% happy, and 100% ready to be your new best friend! Groundhog is the definition of a super sweet soul and a full-time lover. He's a social butterfly who has never met a stranger, believing every human he meets is a friend he hasn't danced for yet. He's an ultimate velcro companion who lives for connection, his favorite thing being to lean his whole weight into you and bury his head in your lap to show he's by your side. You can see his signature "Booty Boogie" dance in his video! We think this handsome fellow is a Pitbull mix, weighing in at a sturdy 47 lbs. He's small enough to believe he's a lap dog, and he's 100% purebred Good Boy! His tongue is the main event—a massive, happy pink marvel that is constantly unfurled, showcasing his pure joy.
Ideal Home
Groundhog's dream home includes a fenced-in yard where he can zoom, boogie, and sunbathe. He's looking for a family that understands that the best things in life are worth a little extra love and patience. He would be best paired with a low to medium energy dog, but is also happy to be the only star and soak up all the attention himself. Groundhog is a bit shy with kitties, but we can arrange a kitty slumber party to see if they'd be willing to share a spot on the couch.
Ongoing Health
Groundhog is a healthy boy!
Training & Support
Groundhog is currently thriving in a foster home where he is learning social skills with other dogs and cats. His foster family notes his incredible goofiness and affectionate nature. He's a sensitive, sweet gentleman who tackles every day with a wagging tail and a heart full of joy. He is a true friend to all dogs, making friends thoughtfully and sometimes pausing to read the room before deciding you're best friends. He's not a high-octane wrestler, but more of a chill vibes kind of guy.
