Sloane, born May 2023

Sloane, born May 2023, is a smart and playful husky mix who is ready to find his forever home! He was found as a stray in a Manitoba First Nations community and taken in by us on June 27, 2023. At just six weeks old, he already knew how to sit, and with a little further training, he quickly learned to shake a paw and fetch. He's a quick learner who loves to play and will fetch a toy for as long as you'll throw it!

Ideal Home

Sloane would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard that is at least six feet high, as he's learned to hop lower fences. He also needs a well-matched canine playmate to share his love of running and playing. He has been excellent with all dogs he has met and good with dog-savvy children, but he is very playful and wants everyone to be his playmate. He has seen cats but has not been directly exposed to them.

Ongoing Health

Sloane has had all his vetting, received booster shots in 2024, and had his annual check-up on August 25, 2025.

Training & Support

Sloane is a smart boy who learns quickly. He already knows how to sit and shake a paw, and he loves to fetch. He is very playful and needs a home that can keep up with his energy.
