Trix is an 8-month-old, approximately 35-pound, spayed female Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul. She was surrendered to a shelter with her brother and was the more reserved of the two. Trix was undersocialized early in life, and her baseline is fear of humans. However, she has never shown any reactivity and simply looks for a safe place to hide when unsure. She is gentle, quiet, and incredibly observant, picking things up quickly like using a doggy door within days. With patience and time spent building trust, she softens and begins to show her playful and affectionate side, enjoying toys, playing with other dogs, and cuddling with her humans. Trix does well with other dogs after proper acclimation and would thrive with a confident canine companion. She is housebroken, loves her crate, is learning to walk on a leash, has been around children (shy at first), and appears to be a low-rider mix who will likely be medium-sized when fully grown.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around more often than not, as she is still a puppy and building trust takes time and consistency. She is not a ready-made confident dog and requires patience, compassion, and commitment. Adopters without another dog should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence building.
Ongoing Health
Trix is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
