MAY

May is an energetic, playful, and inquisitive young lady who initially found the shelter environment overwhelming. She has since shown a need for a more stable and less stimulating environment to truly blossom. May is learning to navigate the world and is eager for a patient and understanding family to guide her.

Ideal Home

May would thrive in an active home with adopters who can provide plenty of opportunities for exploration and exercise. She would do best in a home without cats due to her strong prey drive.

Ongoing Health

May is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

May is still learning to manage her excitement and can be a strong puller on leash, though she has shown progress with loose-leash walking after expending some energy. She is also fearful of car rides and will benefit from more positive and gradual exposure to build her confidence. She requires a specific handling procedure to be safely returned to her kennel and may exhibit kennel frustration if not given adequate outlets for her energy and mental stimulation.
