Georgey is an 11-month-old pup weighing approximately 32 lbs. He is believed to be an Australian Kelpie mix with Lab or Catahoula. Georgey was born on a ranch in South Texas and surrendered with his brother, Johnny. He has been in foster care since March 2025. Georgey is a goofy, pleaser who loves to play and be accepted by other dogs. He is more submissive and easy-going, fitting well into most households. He loves his people and will follow them around, trying to please. Georgey can get a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he is kenneled, making sad whimpering sounds. He adores his toys and needs tough ones as he can turn one toy into many pieces! He has had no issues with cats and would be happy in a home with them. Georgey is also very friendly with kids, strangers, and all humans.
Ideal Home
Georgey would love a home with another dog or dogs to play with. A kiddie pool full of water to relax in and opportunities for walks to explore new things would be wonderful. He would be great for most types of households.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and de-wormer. He is heartworm positive and has received the 30-day course of antibiotics. He needs to stay on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Georgey loves his toys so much that he destroys them, so tough toys are a must.
