Meet Brody – a charming 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix who is the perfect blend of playful and cuddly! Brody is currently enjoying life in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is eagerly awaiting his chance to join his forever family. He’s a wonderfully balanced pup who loves both outdoor adventures and cozy days on the couch. Whether he's chasing a toy or snuggling up with you, Brody is sure to bring smiles with his signature tongue-out grin. He’s even happy to sport a festive costume for special occasions, as long as he’s with his favorite people!
Ideal Home
Brody would thrive in a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can run and play. He's done well with friendly, laid-back female dogs and would be happy to have a canine companion, but he's also content to be the sole pup in the household. Due to his playful energy and size, Brody would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children (8-10+) who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Brody has no specific health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Brody is house-trained and crate-trained and does well when left alone in his crate. He walks politely on a loose leash and is eager to please and food-motivated. He’s made great progress with his obedience skills in foster care! While he can get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with continued calm guidance and positive reinforcement, he is adapting well. He would benefit from a home that provides structure and consistency. Experience with breeds like Cattle Dogs or Pitbulls would be a plus, as these intelligent dogs thrive with a sense of purpose. Daily walks, light adventures, and activities like scent work, agility, or obedience classes will keep his mind sharp and strengthen your bond.
