Stella ~

Meet Stella! This energetic and loving girl is about 1.5-2 years old and weighs in at a compact 28-30 pounds. Stella is a wonderful companion who can keep up with your active lifestyle or happily snuggle on the couch. She's a smart cookie with a desire to please, as evidenced by her quick grasp of commands like "come," "sit," "down," "stay," "place," "focus," and "off." Her Heeler and Beagle mix shines through when she's engaged in training, and she absolutely loves a good game of fetch! Stella is also a pro at house training and will let you know when she needs to go out.

Ideal Home

Stella would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise. She would also love to have a canine sibling of a similar size to play chase with. While she's generally good with cats, her excitement can lead to her wanting to "herd" them, especially if they run. A home that can provide consistent structure and exercise will help her manage this curiosity.

Ongoing Health

Stella is a healthy girl with no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Stella has received formal positive training sessions and has a great foundation in basic obedience. She's highly treat-motivated and eager to learn more! She does need a little more practice with loose-leash walking, as she can sometimes get overly enthusiastic and try to "herd" her person. Her foster family is working on this, and all training homework will be provided to her forever family.
