Papi Chulo De La Calle is a handsome and quiet gentleman who brings a calm confidence to any room. Estimated to be around 3 years old and looking like an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, he's a well-mannered, medium-energy companion with excellent dog social skills, lovely house manners, and an easygoing nature. Papi enjoys sniffing and taking in the world, and while he appreciates companionship, he doesn't require constant entertainment, making him wonderfully easy to live with.
Ideal Home
Papi would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs. He can happily join a home with other respectful dogs or be the one and only canine companion. He would not be a good fit for a home with cats.
Ongoing Health
Papi is a rescue and his breed and age are our best guess. All vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and spay/neuter, is up to date.
Training & Support
Papi is crate trained, trustworthy in the home, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on leash with gentle guidance. He can be a little reserved when meeting new people, preferring to gather information with a few sniffs before deciding you're a friend. Once he settles in, he shows his sweet and easygoing nature.

Transportation
Papi is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
