Suzie has been in foster care for five long years, watching other dogs come and go, all while she’s had zero adoption interest. Not because she isn't wonderful, but because she’s been overlooked, and that’s the part that breaks our hearts. This beautiful 5-year-old mixed breed is full of life, love, and a joyful, playful spirit. Suzie gives everything she has to playtime, to cuddles, and to the people she loves. She’s the kind of dog who becomes your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your biggest fan. She is affectionate, loyal to her core, a little goofy, and obsessed with toys. Once Suzie chooses you as her person, she loves with her whole heart.
Ideal Home
Suzie would thrive in a house where she is the single alpha or in a single-dog home. She would do best with older kids who can match her energy due to her zest for life.
Ongoing Health
Suzie is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea & tick meds. She will come with a health certificate before transport. Thunderstorms are her least favorite.
Training & Support
Suzie is house trained and leash trained. Although she is mid-aged, she is still learning some basic manners, such as not begging for food. She will need a patient family that understands she doesn’t always realize her size or strength. A consistent, structured household would be ideal for her. She thrives off boundaries, eating in her kennel, which she considers her safe haven. She is kennel trained but can roam the house without destroying things. She thrives with confident canine companions who can keep up with her fun, rough-and-tumble play style.
