About Wes Anderson Welcome Wagon

Sunshine in dog form, with the perfect balance of social butterfly energy and goofy charm – that's Wes! Watch him shine in this video: https://youtu.be/jsGGaDWikE0. Wes is estimated to be just over a year old and weighs around 51 lbs. He appears to be a lab/pittie mix with a happy-go-lucky, people-loving personality that shines through in everything he does. This is a dog who wakes up ready to enjoy life and wants to bring you along for the ride! Wes has a warm, welcoming energy that makes him instantly lovable. He greets new people with enthusiasm, adores affection, and makes fast friends everywhere he goes. He's also wonderfully social with other dogs, playful, and knows how to mingle, especially in a group setting. He would thrive with another medium-energy dog to play with and keep him company, and he's happy to match a higher energy playmate's vibe. After playtime, Wes has a great off switch and is happy to settle down.

Ideal Home

Wes would thrive in a home with a yard, as he loves to play outside. He would also do well in an apartment if his person enjoys getting out and about with him for adventures like hikes, patio hangs, and neighborhood strolls. He will do best with a dog-savvy cat who can set boundaries and ideally a home with another dog so he has an appropriate outlet for his playful side. Wes can get a little vocal, so apartment living may not be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Wes is up to date on all vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple deworming treatments, and flea and heartworm prevention. He has been spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

Wes is still growing out of his puppy enthusiasm on leash and can be a bit of a puller when he sees other dogs, but this is excitement, not reactivity. He responds well to corrections and is very treat-motivated, so he will polish up nicely with consistency and snacks. He takes treats gently and has great manners around food, even with other dogs.
