Winy

Winy is a 1-year-old male Labrador Creole mix who weighs approximately 30 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Winy is a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful dog with a joyful spirit. He's energetic and sociable with humans, children, and other dogs, enjoying play, walks, and affection. While a little shy initially, he quickly melts into your arms once he receives some love. He is friendly with both dogs and cats. Winy is crate and leash trained. He was rescued as a newborn with his six siblings in the middle of a field.

Ideal Home

Winy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, along with experience in dog behavior and training. Patience and high tolerance are essential for a rescued puppy like Winy. Please note that Winy is NOT house-trained.

Winy has completed a comprehensive health protocol including:

• 2 DHPPI Vaccine shots
• Rabies Vaccine
• Bordetella Vaccine
• Dewormed
• Microchipped
• 4DX Test and Certificate
• Heartworm Negative Test Certificate
• Monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive (fleas, ticks, and heartworm)
• Health Certificate
• Vaccines booklet

Training & Support

Winy is not house-trained and will require dedicated training and patience in this area. His rescuers emphasize that they are unable to house-train every rescued pet due to the large number of animals in foster care. He needs a family prepared to invest time in his continued education and integration.

Transportation

Winy is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address on the East Coast is available for an additional fee.
