Hazel

Hazel is a 10-month-old, 30-pound sweetheart who is looking for her forever family. She came to us in November 2025 with her siblings, who were adopted quickly, but Hazel was overlooked. She is a gentle and loving shadow, always wanting to be by her human's side. Hazel adores other dogs of all sizes and gets along wonderfully with them. She's also been introduced to cats and shows no interest in them. Hazel is house-trained and crate-trained, and she's very kid-friendly, sure to be a great companion for children. Her absolute favorite thing is water – whether it's a hiking adventure, a trip to the ocean, or even a small bucket, Hazel is ready to jump in and play!

Ideal Home

Hazel would thrive in an active home that loves water adventures. She gets along with other dogs and cats and would do great with children.

Ongoing Health

Hazel is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations and preventative care. She will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to transport.

Training & Support

Hazel is house and crate trained.

Transporation

Hazel is currently in a temporary sanctuary along the Texas/Mexico border. She can be transported to the Central US and the East Coast. Transport locations include: Albany and Latham, NY; Wells and Brattleboro, VT; Willington, New Haven and Dayville, CT; Port Chester, NY; Dayton and Akron, OH; Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA; Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ; White Marsh/Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA. Transport occurs every 2-3 weeks and is included in the adoption fee.
