Ferrari, a 3-year-old, 50-pound bundle of joy, is a very friendly, medium-energy dog who enjoys napping, sunbathing, and keeping his humans company while they do chores. He's been reported as dog, cat, and kid-friendly, and his current foster family has observed him ignoring their resident cats and happily greeting school buses, suggesting a history of positive interactions with children.
Ferrari is generally quiet throughout the day, becoming more active for walks and meal times. He sometimes experiences a bit of separation anxiety when left alone but his foster family is actively working on this. He's a remarkably well-behaved boy, not prone to chewing or damaging things, and knows how to entertain himself with his toys. He's already mastered commands like "sit," "lie down," and "come," and is eager to learn more. While he's still perfecting his off-leash manners, he's making great progress. Ferrari absolutely loves car rides, hugs, and meeting new people – he greets everyone like an old friend! He also enjoys longer hikes, though he's new to them, he's a quick learner. Due to his tendency to overheat easily, he'll need some sort of clothing when temperatures are above 80°F, along with access to water. He's happy to carry his own water in his beloved backpack on longer excursions, and on shorter walks in warmer weather, his foster uses a portable water bottle for him. He's also content to relax in his crate if his family needs to go out without him.
