Lucrecia is a lovely 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, weighing about 33 lbs and standing 22 inches tall. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and after a challenging journey to gain her trust, she's now ready to find her forever home! Lucrecia is intelligent, affectionate, playful, and very active. She enjoys playing with her foster siblings and is incredibly grateful for the safety and care she now receives. She's also a brave and curious girl with a lot of love to give!
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. Families experienced with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed, who understand the unique needs of rescued street animals, and have a background in dog behavior and training, would be a wonderful match. She requires a high level of tolerance and patience as she continues her journey of learning and rehabilitation.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia is spayed and microchipped. She has received her DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, as well as Bordetella. She is dewormed and has a negative 4DX and heartworm test certificate. She is on monthly preventative medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm (Nexgard Spectra). She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Lucrecia's front paw was previously injured and treated successfully by a vet for a puncture wound that caused inflammation and infection.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not yet house-trained, which is a common challenge with rescued animals due to the foster team's focus on their overall health and emotional rehabilitation. She will need continued patience and consistency in this area. Her foster family describes her as intelligent and eager to please, which will be a great asset in her continued training and adjustment to a new home.

Transportation
Lucrecia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States, with delivery to the adopter's home address. The transport fee is $400.00 and is the responsibility of the adopter, payable prior to the pet's departure.
