Winy

Winy is a handsome one-year-old male Labrador Creole mix who weighs around 30 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Winy is a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful dog who is energetic and social with people, children, and other dogs. He enjoys playtime, walks, and affection. While a little shy at first, he quickly warms up and melts in your arms. Winy is also dog and cat friendly, docile, joyful, and loyal. He is crate and leash trained. Winy and his six siblings were rescued in the middle of a field on March 8, 2024.

Ideal Home

Winy would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families who enjoy outdoor activities. Adopters should have an open mind regarding the behaviors of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is highly desired, along with a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Please note, Winy is not house-trained.

Training & Support

Winy is crate and leash trained. As he is not house-trained, adopters will need to be patient and committed to working on this. The rescue organization emphasizes that they cannot house-train every animal due to the sheer number of pets in foster care.

Transportation

Winy is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. He is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers this service which will be provided by a transport company. The delivery will be to the adopter's home address.
