She's already mastered the art of the schedule, letting her humans know precisely when it's time for potty breaks, meals, and even playtime (though she prefers an audience for her solo ball-chasing adventures). Guinevere is house-trained and will certainly keep you on your toes with her clear communication style.
Ideal Home
Guinevere would thrive in a home where she can be the queen of her castle. She's not a fan of pushy doggie personalities and prefers to be the only canine star of the show. While she can tolerate other dogs at a distance, she's quick to let them know their boundaries if they get too close. She's also very communicative about her personal space, so a family that respects her signals – a still body, a turned head, or a warning bark – will be a perfect match.
Ongoing Health
Guinevere was treated for Lyme disease after testing positive for antibodies. She completed a full 30-day course of Doxycycline and showed only mild symptoms. It's important to know that she may continue to test positive for Lyme antibodies in the future. We recommend titer testing and consulting with your veterinarian if you visit areas where Lyme disease is common, if there's a lapse in flea/tick prevention, or if Guinevere shows any signs of illness.
Training & Support
Guinevere is a smart cookie who has a lot to say, especially when strangers are around – she'll definitely let you know! She's also very clear about when she's had enough attention, so learning her body language is key to a happy relationship. Consistent training and understanding her cues will help her continue to be a well-adjusted member of the family.
