Brie is a stunning, approximately 3-year-old, 60-pound livestock guardian breed who has truly blossomed. Despite a rough start that included heartworm and significant hair loss, she's emerged from her past challenges as a resilient and beautiful soul. Brie is an independent thinker, fiercely loyal, and protective of her loved ones. She takes her time getting to know new people, but once her trust is earned, she'll be your devoted companion. She generally does well with other dogs, appreciating slow introductions and relaxing once she knows they are friendly.
Ideal Home
Brie would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors while still being an integral part of the family. She is looking for a home that understands and appreciates livestock guardian breeds, or someone eager to learn about their unique qualities. A home with older children who know how to interact respectfully with dogs would be ideal, as she hasn't been around young children.
Ongoing Health
Brie was previously heartworm positive and has since been treated. She has a beautiful, full coat that has regrown after significant loss. All our dogs are vetted by a licensed veterinarian, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines before transport.
Training & Support
Brie is new to indoor living but has shown excellent kennel manners, keeping her space clean and not destroying bedding, which suggests she'll adjust well to home life with patience and consistency. While she's done well with other dogs, slow introductions are recommended. She hasn't been tested with cats but is very interested in squirrels.
