Gigi is a 3-year-old, approximately 40lb, female Staffordshire Terrier mix who is as brave as she is sweet. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and sadly, she was in heat and being bothered by other dogs. After being rescued and spayed, Gigi experienced some serious health complications due to coagulation problems, which led to a lengthy hospitalization. She fought for her life and pulled through, though her hind legs were weak for a time. Now, she's home and recovering, and is a testament to the resilience of the canine spirit. Gigi is incredibly grateful for her second chance and is ready to shower her forever family with love and loyalty.
Ideal Home
Gigi would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. Experienced owners who understand the breed and have a background in dog behavior and training are preferred. A home with high tolerance and patience for a rescued dog's journey is essential.
Ongoing Health
Gigi is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She also has a health certificate.
Training & Support
Gigi is not house-trained and will require ongoing patience and training in this area. Her past medical experiences have made her journey a bit more complex, and she will benefit from a family that understands the needs of a rescued animal and is committed to providing consistent guidance and education.

- A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted to ensure your home is a safe and suitable environment.
- A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged for you to meet Gigi and for us to confirm your home environment.
- If all parties agree it's a good fit, you will receive an adoption contract and instructions for a trial adoption period.
Transporation
Gigi is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee paid by the adopter prior to departure.
