Piper

Piper is a spirited and affectionate "Pocket Pitbull," a charming mix that includes Chihuahua and possibly Dachshund, with a dash of Pit Bull. At around 27 pounds and approximately three years old, she's the perfect pint-sized companion for adventures, whether it's a cozy snuggle session on the couch or exploring the great outdoors. Piper is a true "velcro dog," always eager for attention and devoted to her people. She enjoys relaxing for hours on a recliner and is ready to embrace a loving, lifelong home.

Ideal Home

Piper would thrive in an active home with a compatible, non-dominant canine playmate her size. She needs a family prepared for her energetic zoomies and who can provide consistent training and socialization. Due to her strength, homes with children over 12 years old are recommended, and she is likely too much for cats.

Ongoing Health

Piper has been spayed, examined, vaccinated, and treated for intestinal and external parasites.

Training & Support

Piper needs guidance in leash manners and to learn not to jump up when excited. She is highly treat-motivated and eager to please, making her a quick learner with consistency and positive reinforcement. Sturdy chew toys like Nylabones and Kongs are recommended, as she can quickly dismantle softer toys.

Transporation

Piper is located within 80 miles of Adams, NY, for foster-to-adopt placements. Once adopted, establishing care with your regular veterinarian is recommended. All family members and resident dogs must meet Piper in person before adoption. Transport is not available.
