TEDDY

Teddy is a charming 3.5-year-old, 10-pound mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. He was rescued as a matted mess and has since blossomed into a handsome pup with a beautiful coat that will require regular grooming. Teddy underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now enjoying excellent vision. He absolutely adores being a lap dog and is always eager to snuggle up with his people. While he gets along with most dogs, he prefers calmer companions and can be a bit sensitive around overly boisterous dogs or when it comes to his food, showing a tendency to be "snippy" and not like sharing. For this reason, he would do best as the only dog in the home or with a quiet, older canine friend. Teddy is mostly house-trained, walks well on a leash, and loves car rides. He's sure to be a wonderful companion for the right person!

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home without children under 8 years old and with experienced dog owners. He would do best as an only dog or with a calm, older canine companion, as he can be food-possessive and sensitive around very active dogs.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and has recovered well with a couple of months of eye medication.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can be snippy with his food and does not like to share, so continued reinforcement of positive food manners and potentially separate feeding areas will be beneficial.
