Mabel is a Boxer-Pittie mix (breed not guaranteed!) who is the perfect blend of a gentle snugglebug and a goofy playmate. Her ideal day involves cozy naps on the couch, plenty of belly rubs, squeaking her beloved stuffed toys, and basking in the love of her people. Mabel gives her whole heart once she trusts you, and once she knows you're safe, prepare for heartwarming cuddles and her signature "Mabel lean" – a full-body press for hugs. She thrives on affection and is the perfect companion for someone seeking a calm, devoted friend who is happiest just being near you.

Ideal Home

Mabel would do best in a home where she can relax and enjoy life without too many leashed encounters, so a house (no apartments, please!) is ideal. She enjoys the company of other well-mannered dogs and could also thrive with a confident cat after a slow introduction and supervision.

Training & Support

Mabel is gentle and easy to correct. She loves routine. She can be a little unsure of other dogs while on leash, so a home that allows her to avoid too many leashed meet-and-greets will help her feel most comfortable.

Mabel is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
