Little Rocky

Little Rocky is a resilient and sweet 1-year-old Heeler mix, weighing about 30 lbs. He had a tough start but is now thriving in his foster home, showing his affectionate and cuddly side. Rocky adores other dogs and gains confidence from their presence, so he MUST have a canine companion in his new home. He's been a wonderful "uncle" to new foster puppies! While he's still getting used to adult dogs, he does well with slow introductions. He hasn't been around children, but with patience and a calm environment, he might adjust well to older kids.

Ideal Home

Rocky needs a home with another dog to help him feel secure. He would do best in a predictable environment with not too much coming and going of new people, as they make him nervous. A fenced-in yard is essential, as he will not potty on a leash.

Ongoing Health

Rocky has recovered well from parvo and skin issues.

Training & Support

Rocky is crate trained and sleeps through the night without accidents. He has made great progress with potty training and has clear signals, though he still needs frequent breaks when not crated. He is learning to gain confidence with leash walking, but can become overwhelmed by stimuli, especially people. He will freeze and disengage rather than showing aggression when nervous. Patience and understanding will be key to helping him adjust.
