Ideal Home
Dahlia needs an adults-only home with no children, visiting or otherwise. She does not tolerate the noise, unpredictability, or movement patterns of children. She also cannot live with other dogs, as she has a dominant, high-drive temperament and will not succeed in a multi-dog household. Dahlia requires a calm, quiet, and stable household environment with no yelling, chaos, emotional reactivity, unpredictable schedules, or high-energy environments. She regresses instantly in chaotic human energy.

Training & Support
Dahlia has been working with a trainer and has a dominant, high-drive temperament. She needs an experienced handler who has prior experience rehabilitating high-drive, reactive, or dominant dogs. The handler must be able to read canine intent, pressure, and thresholds, and maintain structure, routine, and clear leadership. A regular pet owner will not succeed with her. Dahlia's new home must commit to daily calm walks, no free-feeding, no emotional affection during excitement, controlled thresholds, clear environmental boundaries, daily decompression time, and daily work (even 5-10 minutes). Her new home must also have a fully fenced yard (6 ft+ preferred), no livestock or small animals, no "dog park" visits, and no off-leash in public spaces. Adopters must follow a structured transition protocol, agree to at least two training sessions, and follow the trainer's instructions exactly during the first 30 days.
