Meet Chichi, a striking one-year-old, 40-pound spayed Shepherd mix with a beautiful white-and-black coat and soft, slightly wavy fur along her back. She's undeniably eye-catching! Chichi forms deep, loyal bonds with her people. In the home, once she feels safe, she is affectionate, cuddly, and devoted. She is fully housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows her basic commands. She sleeps quietly through the night and settles well into a routine. She is also very food motivated, which makes continued training both important and effective. She enjoys running and playing fetch, her favorite activity. She gets along well with other dogs and coexists calmly around cats.
Ideal Home
Chichi will thrive in an adult-only home with experienced adopters who are willing to go at her pace and respect her limits. She is not a social dog and will not be comfortable in busy or unpredictable environments. She is not a candidate for outings like restaurants, events, pet stores, or crowded walking trails. Her adopter must be committed to managing her environment and advocating for her needs. She would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely burn off energy.
Ongoing Health
Chichi currently takes daily medications (Trazodone and Fluoxetine) to help her feel more balanced and secure. She takes them easily with food, and her routine is simple to maintain.
Training & Support
Chichi struggles with unfamiliar people and requires slow, structured introductions to any visitors. If taken out for runs or walks, these should be in quiet, low-traffic areas with minimal interaction with strangers.
